Wedding photo album overview and small tutorial

Hello! I would like to show you the giant wedding album that I made for my brother and his young wife :) This time I actually spent a month creating it, because it fits 100 pictures inside. I work pretty slow on the albums... But as the Craft O´Clock mixed media team member, I made a quick video on how I blend the decorations in the album together by adding some mixed media elements here and there. I do this for all my paper projects :) I love creating of paper, and still the final result is never satisfying for me without a small addition of paints. I also made another video with the full album overview. I hope you´ll find it useful. 

For this album, I used A LOT of patterned paper! I basically used up the whole "Vintage Bisou" collection, mixing together the paper of different sizes, such as 30x30, A4, 20x20 and 15x15 cm. I also added some relevant patterned paper and the fussy cut elements of the same collection.

Привет! Ох, сейчас будет много фото :) Я наконец-таки доделала свадебный альбом своему брату. Полтора месяца почти ежедневного скрапа... Да, я знаю, жуть как долго :) Но именно так сложно у меня получаются альбомы. Видимо, поэтому я делаю их крайне редко. Этот, кстати, уже вмещает 100 фото и вместит еще больше, если надо.

Оставлю эти фотографии здесь для архива. Делала альбом полностью из винтажной коллекции польского бренда Craft O´Clock "Vintage Bisou". И еще я сделала видео-обзор и мини-МК про то, как я дорабатываю готовый альбом красками.

Art Daily Cafe layout

Dear artistic friends!

The theme for May at Art Daily Cafe is witchery and magic, and it is something that always intrigues, doesn´t it? My art journal spread is inspired by the round shapes and nature green on our moodboard. I thought of the very important esoteric phenomena, such as cartomancy and astrology, and incorporated them on my layout. I do not know much about these things, and I am sceptical about alternative knowledges. Nevertheless, I have always been interested in them. Life is just more interesting this way, isn´t it?

Я живу в относительно северной стране, и небо у нас бывает зачастую очень ярким. Особенно летом. И розовым, и желтым, и лиловым. И рассекают его только птицы, ну и самолеты, хотя эти, в свете последней событий, почти совсем исчезли с горизонта. И очень хочется, чтобы так было всегда. Чтобы люди, а особенно избранные ими правители, ценили мир, природу, домашний уют, человеческие чувства и переживания. Пусть это звучит наивно, но эта надежда - это, возможно, самая главная в мире вещь. Без нее никуда.

В блоге "Глубины Подсознания" новое задание «Цвет небес». У меня сложился небольшой холстик, с надписями "Эпилог" и "С чистого листа". Конечно, войны всегда были и еще много раз будут, но когда они наконец заканчиваются, мы, человечетсво, начинаем жить и надеяться заново.

Фон создан с помощью алкогольных чернил, а символом домашних ценностей в работе послужил чипборд-домики (а также их негатив) от Family Scrap.

Wedding LO for Mixed Media Place / Свадебная страничка

Dear mixed media friends!

Today I prepared a romantic layout for Mixed Media Place with my own wedding picture. It has almost been 11 years since my wedding, and oh how I wish I would have had known the word "scrapbooking" back then :) My wedding decorations were rather ordinary. I would have organized everything differently now. But what I can still do is creating layouts with my beautiful wedding pictures.

The basic process was the following:

First of all, I picked a beautiful patterned paper by A.B.Studio as the background, and slightly enriched it with a text stamp. Then, I added some extra texture with a stencil and modeling paste. I also used some strips of patterned tissue paper as the additions to the background.

When the background was ready, I assembled the photo and all the embellishments on the layout. I picked some sisal, multiple fussy cut flowers, clocks, Prima Marketing paper flowers and berry brnches, and glued them to in layers onto the layout.

Art pebbles and white gesso splatter added some extra vintage romance to the piece. I also used Opal Magic acrylic paint "Violet Gold" to touch up all the flowers and other embellishments, blending them all together.

🎨 And here is my neo-vintage round wall decor, that I created for one of the today's contests. I made this crackled layout, using the "Hazy Street" sheet with a big clock as background. The extras to cut with frames are super handy in creating a multi-layered projects. I also used some fussy cut elements from the "Vintage Bisou" collection, as well as the chipboard from the "Fleeting Moments".

Здравствуйте! 

Да, мы смелые. Блог "Глубины подсознания" заставляет оголять не только душу, но и тело. Апрельсое задание "Части НЮ" подходит к концу, успейте поучаствовать! 

Я давно хотела сделать албом для этих фотографий... Им уже много лет. Было время, когда я подрабатовала моделью у начинающих художников и фотографов. Эти вполне себе эстетичные на мой взгляд снимки - это как раз творение одного такого талантливого фотографа. Так вот когда-то из-за них я рассталась с героем своего романа и очень переживала. Он не понял эстетики, не понял вообще ничего, и очень постарался вселить в меня ханжеский стыд за мое занятие. Теперь же все это мне кажется страшной глупостью. Я счастлива, что сохранились фотографии. Да, я люблю свой нынешний возраст, я считаю себя красивой. И в 60 я тоже буду красива, хотя иначе. Но я никогда уже не буду так красива, как в 20. И это достойно памяти.

Artbook spread Gratitude / Разворот в артбук о благодарности

Hello, beautiful people! New artbook spread for Art Daily Cafe.

I often forget to note the things I should be grateful for in my life. But there are so many wonderful things, kind people, beautiful moments that are worth being remembered and grateful for! One should always keep in mind to thank God (or the Universe, or wahtever one believes in) for all the good going on around, because this is the way to focus on these good things, and not the opposite. I noticed that I have become a little bit of pessimist over the time, and being grateful is what I definitely can do to turn me back to the brighter side.

Being simply thankful is not enough, actually. It is so easy to forget the good if you only think of it once... That is why I suggested to myself to write down my gratitude. I guess I should once make a gratitude jar to help me to hold on to the feeling of thankfulness by writing down the good things happening to me all the time, and putting all the little notes in that jar. But I started with the art journal spread and a little envelope on it to hold the notes with the most essential "things" I am always grateful for.

Привет! Джанкбуки нынче в моде. И я их обожаю! Люблю, ой как люблю намешать в одной вручную сшитой книге офисную бумагу, кальку, скрапбумагу, тканюшки и кружева, карточки, конвертики, теги, вырубку, а еще сухоцветы, штампы и все все все, что душе угодно (ну или все, что оказалось под рукой :)) Вот и получился в наступление весны такой небольшой блокнотик в миксмедийной обложке и с очень пестрой начинкой. Очень мой! Буду, наверное, носить его с собой для личных записей. Как говорится, чтобы все свое было с собой :)

Vintage scraplings tutorial / MK по винтажным скраплингам

Hello, dear mixed media lovers!

It is my turn to inspire you on Mixed Media Place, and today I picked a small scrapbooking form called "scrapling". I have made a set of vintage style scraplings, and shot a tutorial on them for you to watch. 

Scraplings are little two-sided cards, usually measuring 4.5" x 1.5" ( 3,80 x 11,40 сm). They are supposed to stand vertically and you can always write inside the cards, adding your presonal message to the receiver. These little cuties are also great for swap, just like ATCs.

Hello, dear friends!

I am here to present my new project for Lindy´s Gang! I am sorry to say that I had a total technical collapse this month… My car, my video camera and some other smaller gadgets were seriously damaged. So this time I could not film a video tutorial for you, and I made it photo tutorial. But I am getting a new video camera soon! (Right after I repair the car…)

So here we go. I made a pretty big wall decoration, using many shakers, sprays and a new chunky EP!
