ATC set Wings of Gold / Свободные АТС

Привет!

Я очень люблю блог АТС-челлендж. АТС увлеклась давно и прочно. В моей коллекции сейчас более 150 карточек со всех концов света, и останавливаться на достигнутом я не собираюсь :) В упомянутом блоге вошло новое задание "Золото/Серебро" и меня снова пригласили побыть ПД! Сделала новую серию АТС "Золотые крылья", для создания которой использовала помимо стимпанк-декора еще 6 разных миксмедийных средств разных золотых оттенков, а также глиттер. Золота много не бывает, особенно в новогодние праздники, когда создавалась моя серия.

Все карточки разлетелись, но в предыдущем посте есть еще свободные :)

Mixed media ATC Tea Party Tutorial / MK по весенним АТС

Привет!

В блоге Линдис вышел мой небольшой МК по весенним АТС. Весны мне хочется практически сразу, как заканчиваются новогодние праздники, и вот пытаюсь своими скрап-работами ее приблизить. Работает, конечно, слабо. Но все же, хочется верить, работает.

We are in the middle of winter, but I already strive for Spring! So I have made a set of joyful Spring mixed media ATC that I called "Tea Party". I am in love with Lindy´s Gang sprays! You can use them for so many purposes. I used them here to create the colorful background, to color the chipboard and to retouch the decorations after they had all been assembled on the cards.

Basic Process

First, I primed the cardstock with white gesso, so it created a perfect background for the transparent rice paper. I then glued the latter onto the cardstock, using 3D Gloss Gel and a little water. Basically, you can do it with any other decoupage medium, PVA or matte varnish. It is iportant to apply your medium both under and on top of the rice paper to seal it.
Then, I applied so white gesso here and there on to the surface, and took out my Lindy´s sprays! I colored my cards partly with cheerful Summer Lovin' Sun, Peony Scarlet Red and Bells of Ireland Green Shimmer Spray
I used the same sprays to color my chipboards, and sealed them over with the embossing powder called Spring Leaf Chartreuse.
After that, I arranged my tiny compositions on the cards, combining bunny stickers (first glued to the cardstock), chipboard, flowers, die cuts, other embellishments in layers. After I was happy with the composition, I glued all to the surface using contact glue and hot melt glue.
When the decorations were attached, I used the same Summer Lovin' Sun flat spray to add some sunshine to the decorations, combining them with the background.
Final step - the sequins and large glitter! I attached them all using a transparent crackle varnish, but any glossy medium will do this job as well.

Altered motoroller tutorial / МК по альтер-мотоциклу

Сняла видео по альтер-мотоциклу, переделке старой игрушки сына в подарок коллеге, который и мотоциклист, и плотник одновременно.

Today I would like to share my new altered object tutorial. I do not often alter kids´ toys, but this time I had this thought of creating a cool masculine art object out of my son´s toy bike. My male colleague is fond of bikes, and he is also a carpenter and a furniture restorer, so I decided to make this altered bike for him as a Christmas gift. As you may notice, there is a crate full of miniature carpenter tools on the back of the bike :) This is how I combined two life interests of my colleague, so he could relate to the gift.

The main mixed media products for this project were Black Heavy Gesso and rust pastes of different shades. I have painted the toy bike black with the gesso, and decorated it with metallic embellishments. I attached the latter with the Heavy Body Gel. I also created a crate out of matchsticks, and painted it black as well. Then I used three Rust Pastes to add color and a little bit of sandy texture to the art object. When the bike was dry, I retouched it with the Opal Wax, adding some metallic shine to the surfaces.
